The first official update to ICD-10 brought more than 2,600 code additions, revisions and deletions—including 188 changes for the urology specialty. There is no doubt that routine diagnostic coding were affected by these changes. This conference will review these changes made in ICD-10 and enable attendees to correctly use the proper diagnostic codes and avoid denials and loss of significant revenue.
This session will review the recent 2017 economic changes for urology, including the calculation of the new conversion factor for 2017; overpriced procedure codes and their new reimbursement; recent mid-year procedural changes; and billing for Medicare drug wastage among others. Additionally, you’ll get an explanation of new and revised urology CPT codes for 2017.
Join this session with Dr. Michael A. Ferragamo, Jr., MD, FACS to get tips and corrective measures to ensure correct diagnostic and procedural coding for various clinical scenarios. New added codes, deletion of older codes, and revision of codes that occurred on October 1, 2016 and on January 1, 2017, will also be discussed.
