Gail Woytek - RHIA, CCS, CRC

Ms. Woytek earned her Accredited Record Technician degree from Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York. She later attended St. John Fisher College to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Gerontology. She successfully sat for the Registered Health Information Administrator certification. Two years ago she earned her Certified Coding Specialist certification through the American Health Information Association and last year earned the newly created Certified Risk Adjustment Coding Certification through the American Academy of Professional Coders.

Gail has been the Assistant Director and also Director of the Health Information Departments at two different acute care hospitals and their associated Nursing Homes for the past thirty years. Hiring, training, and assuring the accuracy of coders was a key portion of her responsibilities. She currently is a Clinical Reviewer performing Risk Adjustment coding reviews around the country. In addition, she is an Adjunct Professor at Monroe Community College in the Health Information Management Program. Gail has been active in the local, state and national Health Information Management Associations, holding a variety of positions.
