Sunscreens are known, recognized and recommended to protect our skin from sunburns, skin cancer and photoaging. But consumer compliance in using them is far from perfect; while efforts to make sunscreens more aesthetically pleasing are aimed to improve compliance, formulators also add "anti-age" ingredients to make the products more attractive and to help fight some of the symptoms of photoaging. This raises a question – what is the claim of ‘anti-aging’ all about? Is there a difference between treatments of skincare cream (SPF 20) and a beach product with same SPF count?
Join this session by expert speaker Karl Lintner to learn about recent technologies of anti-age concepts, and understand which ones make scientific/technical sense in sunscreens. Know how to find the right, relevant and pertinent combination based on technological considerations. Find out what claims can be legally made in this context with concrete examples.
