This conference by expert speaker Peggy Slagle, CPC, focuses on the anatomic pathology codes to help you understand the concepts of pathology coding, as well as add on test codes, how they are used and the importance of documentation of each code in the final pathology report. Along with this information, you will better understand the importance of correct coding and documentation that will incorporate quicker response time from submitted claims.
Peggy will also talk about ICD-10 changes for 2017 and the importance of correct ICD-10 coding in this session. She will also cover recent rules related to Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014 (PAMA), which significantly revises the Medicare payment system for clinical diagnostic laboratory tests. The audio session will be referencing the AMA CPT® and will be using Medicare guidelines as the basis for it. ICD-10 coding book will be referenced along with pathology coding resources.
