Medication calculations can be tricky! In this session coding expert Amy Turner will discuss drug dosages to billed unit calculations. MATH is involved! Amy will explore what to look for in an office note or procedure note, and will go over procedure examples. Medicare requires the usage of the JW modifier effective January 1, 2017. She will discuss when you should and should not use this modifier. Documentation of medications in the record will be discussed as this is key to correct coding.
