The much awaited 2014 OIG Work Plan has finally been released. Once again they are checking into your EM services and levels you are reporting as well as the correct usage of Modifier-25. There is also a section on Anesthesia services and who is really performing them. Chiropractor services again hit the list with concerns of what is really covered by CMS. One of the big ones is the appropriate medical necessity for diagnostic imaging and can you really support those x-rays you are taking.
