There have not been many CPT code changes to the arthroscopy codes in recent years, but the Medicare and commercial insurance guidelines and policies are ever changing due to the large amount of money insurance pays out for these procedures. It is indeed very difficult to keep up with these ever-changing policies.
This session with expert speaker Lynn M. Anderanin, CPC, CPMA, CPC-I, CPPM, COSC will bring you up-to-date with the most current coding trends for arthroscopy of the hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, and wrist. You will learn the latest information on the coding and reimbursement for arthroscopic procedures to maximize the reimbursement for your providers. There will also be suggestions on dealing with pre-authorizations and suggestions on the codes that should be included for different areas of the body.
By attending this session, you will also be able to minimize denials for arthroscopic procedures by applying the current coding guidelines and edits in place not only for Medicare but any insurance that follows Medicare’s lead. Lynn will also share commercial insurance policies for some major carriers to put you in the know on their processing of your arthroscopy claims.
