Review of SNF (Skilled Nursing Facilities) Provider Responsibilities under Consolidated Billing

The consolidated billing requirement confers on the SNF, the billing responsibility for the entire package of care that residents receive during a covered Part A SNF stay and physical, occupational, and speech therapy services received during a non-covered stay. However, there are certain services that are excluded from consolidated billing and therefore, separately payable.

Join expert speakers Julie Bilyeu and Lisa McIntire in this webinar, where they will simplify consolidated billing for skilled nursing facilities and help you understand the potential financial implications of mismanagement of the process. They will also provide links to the CMS consolidated billing resources and detailed examples to simplify the consolidated billing concepts.

Session Highlights:

  • How to determine SNF (skilled nursing facilities) provider responsibilities under consolidated billing?
  • How to determine whether a service is an exclusion or inclusion?
  • Review Major Category Explanations
  • Examine common consolidated billing pitfalls
  • Review how to determine Medicare allowable amounts
