The Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Database is a file that presents a basis of payment under Medicare Part B. The file includes the associated relative value units (RVUs), fee schedule status indicator, and some payment policy indicators needed for payment adjustment for physician services.
However, the 31 columns of the MPFS Database have more than just RVU information. You may miss critical information that is vital for proper daily coding. This can be in the form of global days, multiple procedures and supervision of diagnostic procedure information. This could be down to the simple fact that many practices don’t understand where to find the information needed to bill Medicare compliantly.
Join expert speaker Jill M. Young, CPC, CEDC, CIMC who will introduce and explain the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Database. Jill will help you find the most current version of the MPFS database.
