The Sunshine Act: Its Impact On Physicians And Pharmaceutical Companies!

After many years, the final rule implementing the “Sunshine Act” disclosure statute has
now seen the light of day. The rule details how drug companies and other vendors must disclose information about payments made to doctors and other health care providers. Now that the disclosures will go forward, there is a renewed spotlight on financial relationships between providers and the vendors who supply them.

Sign up for this vital audio conference presented by expert Wayne J. Miller, Esq. who'll summarize the procedures for disclosing payments and freebies between pharmaceutical companies and other vendors and health care providers. The rule dictates the specific types of transactions to be disclosed, what the written disclosure must include and how it is disseminated. Using different examples, the conference will explore possible exceptions to disclosure, as well as the extent to which health care providers can give input on the disclosure content.

With vendor payments and free items now under greater scrutiny, Wayne will also review the
anti-kickback and self-referral law risks of accepting payments and how to reduce such risks.
