The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Reform of Requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities is being implemented in 3 phases. The second phase, with an implementation date of November 28, 2017, includes the development, implementation and maintenance of a Quality assurance and performance improvement program. This program must be data driven and focus on outcomes of care and quality of life. It is important to understand what is involved and begin developing an acceptable QAPI program.
This session with expert speaker Marilyn Mines, RN, BC, RAC-CT, will explain the requirements of the multifaceted QAPI program requirements. Marilyn will also provide suggestions to develop and implement acceptable activities.
Who should attend?
Marilyn Mines RN, BC, RAC-CT, brings over 40 years of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse to her role as Director of Clinical Services for FR&R. While working with clients, she has been instrumental in preparations for JCAHO, Public Health and Public Aid inspections, and promoting confidence in the direct care of patients, as well as managerial staff.
