The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Reform of Requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities is being implemented in 3 phases. The second phase, with an implementation date of November 28, 2017, includes the completion of a Facility Assessment. The implementation of this one requirement may be a financial as well as a staffing burden. It is important to understand what is involved and begin collecting information for assessment as soon as possible.
In this session, expert speaker Marilyn Mines will explain the requirement and purpose of the Facility Assessment and offer suggestions and tips on collecting the required information and formatting the results in a useful product.
