The overutilization of antibiotics has created an environment of resistant strains, putting everyone at risk, the elderly in particular. Phase 2 of the Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) Requirements for Participation are required to be in place by November 2017. One of these requirements is the development of an Infection Prevention and Control Program, including an antibiotic stewardship component and infection preventionist.
During this informative session with Marilyn Mines, you will learn about how to comply with this new program. Marilyn will provide useful tips, check-off lists, and other reference material.
