The CMS Electronic Staffing Data Collection Program, also known as Payroll-Based Journal (PBJ), went into effect on July 1, 2016, and all facilities have to be registered with the capabilities of gathering the data, uploading and transmitting it by November 15, 2016. For those participating in the volunteer program, you know whether your passwords work and the process will run smoothly. However, for those who have not “tested” the waters yet, this time may be very challenging.
This session by expert speaker, Marilyn Mines RN, BC, RAC-CT, will review the requirements to be in compliance with the PBJ process. You’ll learn how to capture, code, and submit Payroll-Based Journal reports to the CMS, accurately and on time. She will also share reference documents and a PowerPoint presentation to help you in ensuring compliance.
