The draft of the MDS 3.0 Data Specifications v1.15.0, scheduled to go into effect on October 1, 2017, includes additional items related to opioid use, gradual dose reduction programs, and alarms. Although the update to the RAI Manual has not been posted to date, it will hopefully be available to discuss the requirements. However, enough information is available to explore these changes and to understand their importance.
Join this live webinar with expert speaker Marilyn Mines, who will help you learn what the draft MDS 3.0 entails and why the additional items are of importance in today’s nursing home environment. There is a definite connection between industry standards and the Requirements of Participation and the soon to be updated State Operations Manual. Gaining this knowledge will allow you to be fully prepared for October 1, 2017.
By attending this session, you will also be able to properly complete the updated item set, understand gradual dose reduction programs, and determine the use of alarms. This session will explain the importance of the changes to the draft MDS 3.0 and offer suggestions for understanding how they might be completed.
