Don't make this critical mistake when you spot a pressure ulcer or CAUTI that's POA.

With CMS no longer reimbursing acute care facilities for conditions it considers preventable, your facility must continue to prevent hospital-acquired pressure ulcers and catheter-associated UTIs at all costs. During this 1-hour audio session, wound and continence care expert Dorothy Doughty will give you critical tools to keep accurate documentation that protects you, as well as the savvy to identify at-risk patients right away and  to keep prevent pressure ulcers and CAUTI from developing.

Topics covered:

  • Review the new CMS payment rules -- and understand the implications for your acute care facility.
  • Critical assessment tips for spotting pressure ulcers or CAUTI that are "present on admission" (POA) --and documentation musts that'll save you big.
  • Who's most at risk? The answer may surprise you. Try these trusty evidence-based risk assessment tools and preventative measures you can’t afford to miss for your at-risk patients.
  • What to do if an ulcer or CAUTI happens under your roof: Root-cause analysis musts.
