Understand the new Medicare requirements for hospices, and the required timeframes for filing two important notices – the Notice of Election and the Notice of Termination/Revocation; and the beneficiary designation of the attending physician at the time of election, and with any change.
Join expert speaker Susan Balfour, BA, RN in this session, where she will review the requirements, the intent, unanswered questions, and the factors to consider as hospices operationalize them.
The changes were part of the FY 2015 Hospice Wage Index final rule and, although not terribly complex, it will require that hospices fully understand the requirements in order to operationalize them (as one of the three has financial penalties for non-compliance).
