It is not good enough to say you provide quality care because families send you “nice letters”. Public reporting of quality measures in hospice is around the corner. Hospices have the Hospice Item Set (HIS) and Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers System (CAHPS). In the future there will be more measures. It is not about just answering the questions or getting the survey results, but also using the information to identify patient needs, plan care, improve care and at the same time demonstrate the value of your hospice to patients, caregivers, referral sources and the public in general.
Join expert speaker Charlene Ross, MSN, MBA, RN in this audio session, where she will focus on connecting staff to the value of the quality measures and how to incorporate them into care planning and improving outcomes for patients. Get a better understanding of how HIS measures can impact CAHPS scores, and the connection between HIS, CAHPS, and quality outcomes.
