Learn Operational and Documentation Strategies for Compliance with the New Conditions of Participation

Surveyors have begun evaluating home health agency beginning in January 2018. This is the first time in decades that we have had surveys under the new Conditions of Participation, and home health agencies must brace themselves for the intense scrutiny of CMS surveyors. The survey occurs every three years, and the best way to avoid monetary sanctions is by always being survey ready and ensuring that you are complying with the home health CoPs. Will your agency be prepared to meet all of the patient-centered requirements mandated by CMS?

In this session by expert speaker J’non Griffin, you will learn strategies for documentation to be in compliance with the new Conditions of Participation. You will gain knowledge of what items needs to be improved or implemented to pass a survey under the new Conditions of Participation.

It won’t be as easy as just changing a form or two. It will be an operational and cultural shift for your agency. From an operations viewpoint, your agency will have to change everything it has always done to be more patient centered. The burden of the clinical coordination will be on the clinical managers in the office to ensure all the items have been implemented. This session will provide you with some important ideas to improve your agency in preparation for the new Conditions of Participation.
