OASIS is the most important single document used in Medicare Home Health Services today. The new OASIS C-1 is scheduled for implementation on October 1, 2014. This will be the first major change in the standardize data collection tool used extensively in Medicare and Medicaid managed care and fee-for-service home health episodes. The proposed changes in the data collection items were initially developed to accommodate the changes in the ICD-10-CM coding format, but also have potential to impact payment and quality outcomes.
Join home health expert Judy Adams, RN, BSN, HCS-D, HCS-O in this 60 minute audio session, where she will provide an overview of the proposed changes and any updates that are available up to the date of the presentation. She will review the OASIS item changes with references to official CMS information sources. The review will include the actual changes proposed for the standardized data set along with information on the potential impact of these changes. Home Health personnel need to closely follow the changes to this important document.
