In October 2014, CMS announced issuing of the long awaited Home Health Conditions of Participation (HHCoPs). Even though we have not heard about an implementation date as yet, we all need to be ready for significant changes. What we do know is what those changes will be and the significant cost to making the necessary changes in policies and protocols within the industry. There will be Conditions eliminated and Conditions added. The proposal adds four brand new Conditions, they will revise many others and have removed some processes from others.
This is the first major change in the CoP’s since 1989. Most clinicians and Administrators working in the industry have become very comfortable with the current rule. There were revisions made in 1997 which were never implemented.
Join expert speaker Arlene Maxim to discuss the clinical, administrative and financial changes that will need to happen in home health when the final version of this rule is approved. You will get to understand the basic changes that will be made to the current CoPs, and how these changes can be successfully and satisfactorily implemented.
