Learn How CMS’s IMPACT Act Affects Homecare Providers

The Improving Post-Acute Care Transformation Act (IMPACT) was signed into law in 2014 as a direct response to Medicare’s skyrocketing post-acute care spending. The requirements of IMPACT Act will affect every post-acute provider in the US. It is important that homecare companies have an ongoing plan to prepare now. STAR Ratings and other data elements extrapolated from CASPER reporting should be analyzed for improvement beginning immediately. The Discharge Planning component will be critical for Agencies to embrace and work toward implementing the process even now.

In this webinar, expert speaker Arlene Maxim, RN will shed light on the Impact Act and how it will affect homecare agencies across the nation. The Impact Act was a bi-partisan rule that was passed in an effort to received data from all post-acute environments. For home health, quality measures will begin with reporting on January 1, 2017. With the onset of OASIS C-2, we will begin to experience the move into an interoperable data support system giving CMS the ability to measure and compare data in the post-acute setting. The goal is for uniformity where standardized data can be shared across all settings.

Arlene will share tips on improving quality measures in getting ready for Impact and also provide reference documents.
