Product Description

CMS has issued its proposed PPS rule for 2012.

Although the rule does not contain as many changes as some recent years, this rule contains a number of changes that will have a dramatic impact on home health.

Of course, the biggest impact will be in the form another rate reduction.  This year's reduction is primarily due to CMS attempting to take back the "coding creep" it has identified.  The rule also proposes to change how the HHRG is weighted.  This would be aimed at "redistributing" money paid towards higher utilization therapy cases.

Get all the information you need about this proposed rule from Robert Markette during this 1-hour audio conference. Find out how the revised PPS will impact your bottom line and what strategies you may need to start considering in light of these changes.

Examine the primary sources of rate reductions in the rule, including the case mix creep "take back" and proposed changes to how therapy is handled in the HHRG.  Knowing what is coming will help to assess strategies for next year to survive in the world of ever shrinking Medicare home health reimbursement.

Take a look at what’s covered:

  • Case mix creep - How did we get here?
  • Proposed changes to therapy in the HHRG
  • Market basket – Yes, it’s going up, but why that doesn't matter
  • Face to Face changes they are little, but every little bit helps
