From CASPER reports and 5-Star Ratings to OASIS items, your home health agency has a whole truckload of outcome measures to stay on top of. And a low score on even one report or measure can bomb your agency’s reputation and even threaten your reimbursement. All measures link back to patient outcomes, and improving these outcomes is a huge focus area for many home health agencies. So how do you do it?
Join expert speaker Melissa Abbott, RN, MSN/MHA for an information-packed educational session to learn how to boost your outcome measures in 2018. Abbott will show you how to understand your CASPER reports and Star Ratings by peeling back the layers of jargon to reveal how these reports tie back to real-world home healthcare practices. This session will not only help you to analyze and interpret your agency reports, but also provide clinicians OASIS item-specific guidance, such as item intent and response instructions.
After attending this event, you will understand the outcomes being measured in your CASPER reports and analyze those outcomes—so that you know what areas are top priority within your agency. You’ll be able to better assess patients and understand how to answer the OASIS questions to best reflect the patient’s status on admission/discharge. Moreover, you’ll get a clearer view of how you can employ OASIS items in key strategies to improve your patient outcome measures.
