Surgical package bundling and unbundling is one of the challenging issues faced by physicians and billers/coders. When understood and managed appropriately, practices have the opportunity to reduce claim denials, successfully appeal claims that have been inappropriately bundled and obtain the maximum reimbursement to which providers are entitled.
