Updates and CPT® Code Changes for General Surgery in 2017

CPT®  2017 has dished out many changes in General Surgery Coding and thus all general surgeons, coders, billers, managers and administrators need to remain updated with the new code changes.

This session by expert speaker Kim Huey will review the CPT® changes for General Surgery in 2017 – including Medicare payment and documentation requirements for new codes and new reimbursements. You will get to know about moderate sedation which is separately billable now, and also know the new coding requirements for endovascular ablation and endovascular revascularization.

In the Hemodialysis access section of general surgery, you will learn about coding for angioplasty and stent placement, thrombolysis or thrombectomy. The conference will also highlight the new mammography codes and options for GERD - esophageal sphincter procedure. Additionally, you’ll learn about appropriate coding for fluoroscopic guidance and required Medicare reporting of postop care.
