Good laboratory practices are basic guidelines that facilitate the management and quality assurance of the products from analytical laboratories. These practices include guidelines on the management of facilities, equipment, operations, samples, and information. Managing food safety laboratories can be more challenging than managing research and development laboratories because the hazards being measured may require being multiplied or concentrated for the use of hazardous materials. In addition, the information obtained requires more reliability because of the potential harm to humans that may be caused by contaminated materials.
The objective of this webinar by expert speaker Oscar Rodriguez-Gonzalez is to review the basics, history and future of good laboratory practices and the challenge of applying them to food safety laboratories. Attending this session will help you get practical examples, handouts, and links and references to various sources of information.
