Get Effective Documentation and Record Keeping Strategies for Complying with FSMA Sanitary Food Transportation Standards!

Any time the FDA passes new rules under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), documentation requirements are automatically established for each impacted site. These final food transportation rules are expected late in 2015 which leaves perishable food shippers, carriers, receivers and maintenance operations little time to develop and implement risk reducing preventive food handling, load and un-load, distribution and transportation improvements and the documentation systems that provide evidence of planning, implementation and control.

This session by our expert speaker, John Ryan, will present two alternative documentation systems for your use. A complete paper system will be presented and attendees may request soft copies for their use. An introduction to a system will be provided that would allow your internal and external auditors to easily track, review, manage and report your system’s status.

Session Highlights:

  • Performing a gap analysis between the present practices and new compliance requirements by using a simple checklist
  • Developing and implementing a company transportation food safety plan to close any gaps
  • Developing a “Contract of Carrier” for Shipper/Carrier that meets FDA requirements
  • Learn about the different documentation requirements for shippers, carriers and receivers.
  • Understanding “container” and transportation tool controls from the harvest level through final delivery
  • Using a simple and low-cost complete data collection and reporting systems
  • How to maintain timely and accurate documentation for personnel and procedures
  • An update and review of the new food transportation standards

Benefits of attending:
