Insights on the 2018 Cardiology Coding Updates from an Expert!

CMS has announced the 2018 ICD-10-CM codes that are to be used for discharges occurring from October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018, and for patient encounters occurring from October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018.  There are also 34 new, 12 revised and 28 deleted codes for CPT® in 2018. All these 74 code changes will have a major impact on your 2018 reimbursement. Don't worry - help is here.

Join this session with cardiology coding expert Terry Fletcher, BS, CPC, CCC, CEMC, CCS, CCS-P, CMSCS, CMC, to get insights on the 2018 CPT®, ICD-10 CM and Medicare updates for cardiology. Terry will present the cardiology specific impact to ICD-10 CM code changes and what you will need to do to update your physicians and coders. Medicare released the final Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) for 2018 on November 2, 2017 and Terry will look at the impact of the final MPFS, on Medicare patients and cardiology. CPT® also has many new, revised and deleted codes coming into effect in 2018, and Terry will look at how the CPT® code changes will affect the cardiology specialty, and will equip you with the tools you’ll need to be well-informed for this year. You will also learn about some of the important documentation requirements for the new and revised codes, and what you need to find out about different payer policies.
