Insights on the 2018 Anesthesia Coding Updates from an Expert!

CPT® code changes for FY 2018 will be effective from January 2018. It is the time of year to update you and your staff’s anesthesia coding knowledge. There will be 11 CPT® coding updates for anesthesia in 2018, including new, revised and deleted codes. You need to ensure that your practice is up–to-date with the “anesthesia specific” CPT® coding updates to guide your office through 2018 and ensure maximum reimbursement in 2018.

Anesthesia coding and billing staff are usually too busy working to research changes that may occur in anesthesia coding from year-to-year. Instead of spending hours digging for information, spend an hour and let expert speaker Kelly Dennis, MBA, ACS-AN, CANPC, CHCA, CPC, CPC-I, steer your practice in the right direction for the upcoming year.

In this session Kelly will discuss the changes that will impact reimbursement for anesthesia practices in 2018. She will cover new and revised CPT® codes for anesthesia coding in FY2018, as well as the CPT® codes that will no longer be in use. You will get tips and strategies to avoid denials and get maximum reimbursement from Medicare as well as private insurance companies. This session will include applicable anesthesia-related coding changes, areas where anesthesia practices are most at risk, and include information your practice will need to prepare for upcoming changes.
