About the Speaker

Elisa Bovee MS OTR/L is the Vice President of Operations for Harmony Healthcare International (HHI) an industry leader in Long Term Care consulting. HHI is a premier Long-Term Care Consulting firm specializing in Reimbursement and Compliance. In her role, Elisa manages a diversified team of consultants who have extensive knowledge in the areas of MDS 3.0, RUG-IV, Documentation, Therapy Program development and state specific Medicaid Case mix.

She has been working in the long term care industry for over 19 years practicing and providing consulting services related to therapy services and Medicare regulations and guidelines. She served as an Appeals Coordinator for a National nursing home company, working with facilities to address Medicare denials.

Elisa began working for Harmony Healthcare as a Regional consultant. As a Harmony Consultant, She has mastered reimbursement guidelines for Medicare and Medicaid in the skilled nursing facility. She transitioned to the Director of Education and Training for Harmony in 2005. In this role, she has written many articles featured in select long term care industry trade magazines as well as provides public and private education on a national level focused on a multitude of topics including Medicare regulations, and therapy solutions for case management in the SNF. Additionally, she has done extensive training for MDS Coordinators, Therapy Directors and staff on MDS coding, RUG-IV Intimacy, Skilled Nursing Therapy Documentation in the SNF and Denials Management for the SNF. She currently manages the operations for Harmony Healthcare on a national level.
