Product Description
Pain practices are under the microscope. Procedures like pumps and stimulators, with higher reimbursement, are closely scrutinized by payers.
You need to stay on the right side of compliance when billing.
Spinal stimulators and implanted spinal pumps are "high ticket" items for a pain practice in terms of practice time and expense, so it is necessary to get all the reimbursement that is due.
Take a look at what’s covered:
- Learn how payers view medical necessity for these procedures
- Coding these procedures becomes easier when you understand how each service is performed
- Tips for correctly coding each step of these complex procedures, including modifier usage
- HCPCS implant coding for each device will be reviewed
- Don’t lose revenue by incorrectly coding pump refill visits
- Finally learn the official guideline for how to code for those pump dye studies
- Clear up the coding confusion for drugs used in implanted spinal pumps
- Understand the bundling rules when coding and billing for spinal stimulators
- Learn how to choose the correct codes for spinal stimulator analysis
- Make sure you are billing correctly for those expensive supply codes
Who should attend? Pain physicians, pain practice administrators, coders and billers, payer review staff
