Elin Baklid-Kunz, MBA, CHC, CPC, CCS,  is Director of Physician Services for a large health system in Daytona Beach, Florida. Her nineteen years of healthcare experience includes seven years in finance and four years in compliance. Kunz is a national speaker and published author on topics related to medical practice compliance issues, coding and reimbursement, chart audits and federal regulations. She presents workshops for the American Academy of Professional Coders and is a freelance author for HCPro, Inc. Her experience includes six years as adjunct professor and curriculum developer at Seminole State College where she taught courses pertaining to healthcare reimbursement and data analysis and served on the advisory committee for the health information management program. Kunz earned her master’s degree in business administration from Stetson University and she is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)  and AHIMA-Approved ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer.
