Product Description
Getting it right the first time means matching the CPT descriptors with the surgeon’s notes.
The CPT editorial explanations of segment, interspace and level make it difficult for coders to understand the application of laminectomy and laminotomy codes for multilevel decompressions.
Join neurosurgeon, and coding expert, Greg Przybylski, MD for this 1-hour audio session where he will reveal methods to determine the number of decompressive levels performed and what differentiates a laminectomy and laminotomy.
Here's just a sample of what Dr. Przybylski will cover:
- Keys and details to differentiate laminectomy from laminotomy
- How to properly determine the number of levels decompressed
- Know when a laminectomy is bundled into another procedure
- Differentiate unilateral from bilateral decompression codes
- Services that are bundled with laminectomy and laminotomy
- Choose the best code reflecting the laminectomy approach used every time
Who should attend? Neurosurgical and orthopaedic spine office managers, coders, and physicians.
