About the Speaker

Cheryl A. Schad, BA Ed, CPC, ACS-RA, PCS, is a nationally-recognized Reimbursement Specialist and owner of Schad Medical Management, a physician reimbursement/compliance consulting firm that focuses on CPT and ICD-9 coding and Medicare Part B regulations. Schad's personal area of expertise is diagnostic and interventional radiology. She has performed numerous workshops, seminars, and audio conferences for organizations including The Coding Institute, The American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA). She has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare field.

Schad is an Incorporating Officer of the American College of Medical Coding Specialists, fulfilling the role of Secretary of the Board of Governors. She is also chairman of the Radiology Specialty Committee of the Board of Medical Specialty Coding. She is a member of the editorial advisory board of Radiology Coding Alert, published monthly by The Coding Institute. Cheryl is also a past member of the National Advisory Executive Board of the American Academy of Professional Coders and is a current member of American Healthcare Radiology Administrators and the American Health Information Management Association.
