Elisa Bovee MS OTR/L, Director of Education and Training has been working in the long term care industry for over 14 years practicing and providing consulting services related to therapy services and Medicare regulations and guidelines. Her familiarity with the Medicare system within a long term care environment began when she worked as a staff Occupational Therapist in a Skilled Nursing Facility for a large national corporation. She quickly advanced to become the Director of Rehabilitation for two facilities and then was promoted to a Regional Manager within the corporation. Elisa served as an Appeals Coordinator for three years within the Northeast region, working with facilities to address Medicare denials. In 2003, Elisa began working for Harmony Healthcare as a Regional consultant. As a consultant for Harmony Healthcare Elisa assisted clients to enhance quality of care through chart auditing, service delivery analysis and in-service education. Currently, Elisa holds the position of Director of Education and Training for Harmony Healthcare. This position entails research, analysis and design of training programs for Harmony Healthcare staff and clients. She is responsible for researching program content for development of education activities. Her experience has entailed education of nursing staff and management, therapy staff and management as well as administrators in the long term care setting.
