Jo Walters RNC, FACDONA has been involved in the long term care industry for over 25 years holding such positions as LTC Consultant, Director of Education, Director of Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance, Clinical Transition Specialist, Quality Regulatory Consultant and Director of Clinical Services. She serves on many Advisory Boards such as Ohio Governor Taft’s Workforce Shortage Task Force, Ohio Access Success Project Board and the Ohio Regulatory Reform Board. Jo is a nationally respected speaker and has presented educational programs across the country. She serves on speaker’s bureaus for Johnson & Johnson, Ortho Bioteck Products, Boehringer Ingelheim, Lilly and Janssen Long Term Care Group. She has been involved in the National Association Directors of Nursing in Long Term Care for over 20 years and currently serves on the National Board of Directors. Jo was named the 2004 NADONA Nursing Administrator of the Year, serves on the Education & Scholarship committee and has been a presenter at past NADONA conferences. She has published articles in long-term care journals on Behavior Management, Employee Retention, and Customer Service, The QIS Survey Process. She authored a Behavior Management Manual, which is used across the country in long term care facilities.
