Product Description

Get an inside look at laparoscopic coding

Coding for laparoscopic technology may be complicated and confusing with loss of significant revenue and denial of many claims.

But, you can learn the proper CPT codes to bill - and insure - full payments and avoid rejections.

Learn the new laparoscopic procedures that are replacing the traditional open procedures and how to bill and code for them. Code for multiple laparoscopic procedures with special modifier usage for the different clinical laparoscopy scenarios. Discover how to code for laparoscopic procedures that have no specific CPT code by using the correct unlisted code. And, gain a better understanding of laparoscopic technology and feel more competent in their laparoscopic coding and return of revenue.

Take a look at what Dr. Ferragamo will cover:

  • Frequency and types of laparoscopic procedures performed in general urological practice
  • Coding for radical and simple laparoscopic nephrectomy
  • Reimbursement comparisons between open and laparoscopic procedures
  • How to code for:
    • hand assisted laparoscopic procedure
    • conversion from a laparoscopic procedure to an open procedure
    • laparoscopic vasectomy
    • laparoscopic total nephroureterectomy and partial bladder resection
    • laparoscopic total cystectomy and ileal conduit diversion
  • PLUS: How to accurately document and code for proper payments when robotics are used

Have additional questions? You have the floor with the speaker during an interactive Q&A.

Who should attend? Urologists, coders, nurses, and all office personnel involved in the scheduling and billing for these procedures will benefit in increasing their knowledge of the proper coding and billing for this new technology now being embraced by their urologists.
