Product Description

Whether Non-Physician Practitioners (NPPs) are in your future plans or you're using them now, you've got to play by these rules to get maximum reimbursement with minimum trouble...

NPPs help ease the load in busy practices, and allow practice expansion when new physicians aren't available. But working with NPPs brings a new set of regulations that vary from situation to situation, and carrier to carrier.

Let our billing guru Jill M. Young, CPC, CEDC, CIMC, teach your practice how to work with NPPs in a compliant way, while maximizing their time and billable services. Jill will tell you specifically what Medicare's rules for NPP services are, and how to find and deal with your own state's scope of license.

In this seminar, you'll learn the answers to these questions and more:

  • Incident-to: What are the "rules" in providing this advantageous type of care? Plus documentation tips for these services.
  • Split shared visits: When can you use this concept and when can't you? The most common misuse of the split-shared concept -- are you making this mistake?
  • NPP care: What tiers of rules care can an NPP provide? What services can't your NPP perform under the direct care concept?
  • Physician presence: Can my doctor go on vacation and let the NPP see patients alone? If the doctor is on his way, does that count toward supervision requirements?
  • Office info: Is it more efficient and profitable to have the NPP see patients in the office or the hospital? How do you keep your office schedule flowing and yet observe all the NPP billing rules?

Plus: Make sure your entire staff understands NPP complexities. Have them all attend from one location for just one price.
