Product Description

If your HIPAA security standards fails, you may be liable and that could come with significant financial and reputational ramifications

All entities covered under HIPAA must take special care of electronic patient health information, including establishing policies and taking regular actions as part of a security management process.

HIPAA security compliance is now needed more than ever by the entities under new changes to the regulations and HHS compliance audit activity and enforcement penalties are both increased, especially in instances of willful neglect of compliance.

If you are now taking on an EHR, it’s especially important to make sure you have instituted your information security management.

During this 1-hour HIPAA conference with HIPAA expert Jim Sheldon-Dean, learn what it takes to get in compliance and stay there, even as your operations and environment change. Find out what administrative, physical and technical safeguards are necessary, and how you decide what’s right for HIPAA security compliance for your organization.

Take a look at what’s covered:

  • The Security Rule sections most violated in major breaches
  • How information security for health care is changing, for better and for worse
  • The causes of most information security breaches today
  • Using Risk Analysis to do better security with fewer resources
  • Why you must comply with the HIPAA Security Rule to get EHR incentive funding
