Product Description

Industry patterns regrettably show rehabilitation therapies often working in a vacuum from their agencies.

Agencies across the nation choose different levels of involvement by therapists for OASIS completion.

Regardless of whether therapists complete the OASIS at start of care, they need to know key points about the data set for collection at other time points, and to better inform agency data accuracy in general. Knowledge of data collection in the context of outcome indicators may also help therapists connect their practice to improvement in the outcomes needed by their agencies.

Increasing familiarity with OASIS accuracy and the connection between therapy practice and home health outcomes can improve the therapist’s role on the interdisciplinary home health team.

Take a look at what’s covered:

  • Key OASIS items that are often not supported by therapy documentation for potential improvement in accuracy.
  • Look back strategies to assist therapists completing the OASIS at discharge.
  • The medication section will be reviewed for a distinction between therapist expectation and those items requiring collaboration with the agency for completion
